Inside the Main Block

The Main Block is essential for your build because it’s “Robo’s brain”. It can provide power, connect to your Bluetooth device and control other blocks. Always start building your robot with the Main Block!

Turning On & Off

Hold the Power Button for about 2 seconds to turn on the Main Block. Once it’s on, you will hear the startup sound and see the four LED flashing one by one, indicating that it‘s ready to pair with your Bluetooth device.

Connecting to the Apps

Download Robo Live, Robo Code or Robo Blockly App.

They all are available in the App Store, Google Play Store, Windows Store or Fire OS Store.

Open one of the Robo Apps and connect.

On the screen, you will see the Robo Wunderkind Main Block available to connect. Press the Connect Button and a tune will let you know that the Main Block is connected to the app.

Switching between the RW apps & disconnecting from the device.

If you want to switch to another RW app, you need to disconnect the Main Block from the app you are using. Go to “My Robo” screen, tap on the “…” icon, then press on “Disconnect”. Another tune will let you know that your Main Block is disconnected from the app.

Battery Charging

To charge your Main Block, connect the Main Block to power via the Micro-USB port. It will take about 2-3 hours to fully charge the Main Block.

  • If the Main block is turned OFF while charging, one LED lights up red.
  • If the Main Block is turned ON while charging, the 4 LEDs are flashing
PLEASE NOTE: It’s not possible to use the robot while charging.

To check the battery percentage, connect to the Main Block to one of the Robo Wunderkind apps. The battery status will be displayed on the “My Robo” Screen above the Main Block.

Updating the firmware

If a firmware update is available, the app will instruct you through the process.

Please make sure the Main Block is connected to power during the update. The firmware update usually takes less than 2 minutes.

This is all you need to know about the Main Block!
