On April 23, 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order signaling a major shift in K–12 education: preparing students for an AI-driven world is no longer optional—it’s a national imperative.
The Executive Order calls for a coordinated national strategy to expand AI literacy, teacher training, and workforce readiness programs across American schools. It specifically highlights the need to:
- Introduce AI literacy as early as elementary school
- Equip educators with training and resources to teach foundational AI concepts
- Fund high-quality, standards-aligned curricula
- Ensure students are prepared to thrive in an AI-powered economy
For district leaders and educators, this is both a moment of opportunity and a call to action.
Educating about the fundamentals of AI will be critical
At Robo Wunderkind, we’ve spent the last year preparing for the AI shift. Our newly launched AI Literacy Curriculum for K–5 is designed specifically to help schools educate students and teachers about foundational AI concepts, risks, and opportunities.
Here’s what makes our program unique:
- 25 hours of hands-on, play-based AI learning for elementary students
- Aligned with ISTE’s AI in Education Guidelines
- Integrated robotics and coding for real-world application
- Unplugged learning options for flexible classroom use
- Teacher training included - no prior tech experience required
We’re already working with over 130 schools across the U.S., and as interest in AI surges, we’ve received interest from 30 districts to pilot this curriculum - including 5 of the Top 100 districts nationwide.
