Watching movies is fun, but what about creating them yourself? In our sixth week of #RoboMakersMarathon, we asked our talented coders to bring their creativity to a whole different level by creating a short film with Robo as the main protagonist. And, of course, they didn’t disappoint!

Let’s take a look at what happens when these little inventors try on the role of film directors! Spoiler: it’s going to take your breath away ;)

Robo Tower

Remlaupi amazes us every time with his never-ending creativity but this time his short film project simply took our breath away! In his talented hands, Robo has transformed into a tower that ensures the safe taking off of the plane. And guess who was the pilot? Of course the brilliant coder himself! He requested permission and after Robo’s approval started the engine and took off. The mission is accomplished, he’s in the air! Robo Tower is, without doubt, a game-changer in the technology behind air traffic control :)

House Moving Robo

When it comes to moving, the first question that comes to everyone’s mind: how to transfer all the things accumulated over the years to a new place? Well, it’s not a problem at all if you have a Robo-transporter to help you out! Mira and Jonathan created a stop motion short film  depicting how Robo helps little dolls move in their new carton house. Using his hands like forks, in one blink of an eye he transported the washing machine, the kitchen counter, and the toilet, and also gave them a friendly hug before leaving :)

Robo Star Wars

Meytal reached a completely new level of film production by recreating a whole episode of Star Wars with Robo playing the main part, of course! Movie scenario, props, costumes - everything is at its best. This is what we call the perfect storytelling. The film even got the original titles at the end at and beginning. Bravo Meytal!

Robo Rainbow

This talented coder and film director created a story where a Robo called Rainbow wanders around the forest. While other toys want to play he somehow seems a little cautious to interact with them. Finally, he meets a pretty little witch played by the little coder herself and makes friends with her. Great story and props!

Robo Birthday Party

We knew that Iona has a lot of talents and were pleased to see that her ability to tell stories is one of them as well. She threw a fantastic birthday party for her toy friends Benji and Besty. And of course, there is no party without Robo! He entertained the guests by playing drums and guitar, and even tried himself out as a DJ! Benji and Besty danced their feet away with all other furry toy friends. We would love to have such an amazing entertainer out at our next gathering for sure. Well done, Iona, your imagination has no limits!

If you also desire to create amazing stories while exploring the world of coding, we have a brand new #RoboMakersMarathon challenge ready for you each week! This time the topic is Design - we invite you to play engineers who design and build their unique and creative solutions. We can’t wait to see what you can come up with!
